Bayelsa Man Impregnates Two Daughters, Attempts Raping Third

GirlA 58-year-old man from Agbura community, Yenagoa Local Government, Bayelsa State was on Thursday arrested by the police for allegedly impregnating his two daughters.
The suspect, whose name was not disclosed, was also said to have attempted to rape his third daughter.

Our correspondent gathered that the arrest was initiated by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Mrs. Pulu Zifawei.

The matter reportedly got to the office of the special adviser after the suspect made several attempts to rape his younger daughter.

The 14-year-old daughter, a student of the Community Secondary School, Agbura, was said to have reported the sexual harassment by her father to the school counsellor during a guardian and counselling session.

The school counsellor, who is also the victim’s class teacher, reported the case to the Ministry of Women Affairs which alerted the police.

The suspect was arrested and detained at the Azikoro Police Station.

A community source, Rowland Eview, told our correspondent that investigations by the police revealed that the suspect had already impregnated two of his daughters.

One of the daughters, 23, was said to have conceived twice for the father but mysteriously lost the babies at birth.

The second pregnant daughter was said to have relocated from the community out of shame.

The 21-year-old son of the suspect, who declined to mention his name, said he became aware of his father’s shameful acts at the age of 12.

“Our mother had reported the matter to the members of the family. On that day, our father nearly beat my mother to death. Each time the issue came up, my father would beat my mother,” he said.

He said the father had also inflicted machete cuts on him and his elder brother for daring to challenge his actions.

A senior police officer at the Azikoro Police Station confirmed to our correspondent that the suspect was in detention but said the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Alex Akhigbe, must be contacted for further details.

But Akhigbe told our correspondent that he was in a meeting.

Access Bank GMD,Aig-Imoukhuede fights deputy over Angela Omokore

The cordial relationships between some directors of Access Bank Plc,especially the group managing director,Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede and his deputy Herbert Wigwe is no longer at ease.

Investigation revealed the cause of the smouldering discord as to who becomes the next GMD.
This is said to be against the background of proposed success of moves by current Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Aigboje Aig Imoukhuede to secure the top CBN job.
The bank boss is stealthily working towards becoming the next occupier of celebrated positions- Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria or Finance Minister.
He is currently an integral part of the Presidency’s economic team.
Insiders revealed efforts to leave behind a ‘tidy house’ is the cause of conflicts of interests being experienced at the bank.
Mr Imoukhuede is said to have withdrawn support for long time partner- and Deputy Managing Director at the bank, Mr Hubert Wigwe.
Insiders revealed the Managing Director now favors Angela, the wife of his close ally in the corridors of power and front man of Spog Oil, Mr Jide Omokore.
Angela (more popular with her maiden name, Egbagbua) is also regarded as a major player at Access Bank. She was a visible part of power brokers at the place until she travelled abroad for child birth, returned to head the Ghana arm of the bank’s operation and maintained ‘a very low profile’ since then.
Outside of her influence within the financial institution, sources confirmed Angela’s
hubby, Jide Omokore’s rapport with Mr
Imoukhuede and volume of business he transacts with Access Bank are major factors propelling the move to succeed the incumbent.
Mr Omokore is a big time player in the government of President Jonathan, particularly the Oil Sector.
Along with fellow promoters of another business concern, Seven Energy- Mr Omokore is believed to be the business front and channel of commercial activities for Petroleum minister, Allison Madueke and other shrouded government functionaries.
Insiders claim Mr Imoukhuede has eyes on leveraging on Mr Omokore’s stature for himself and his bank, by positioning Angela as his successor – at the cost of sacrificing the ambition of deputy and long term associate, Wigwe.
insiders claimed this is against the backdrop of claim that, despite his expertise and long association on the job- D.M.D Wigwe has limited influence and contact.
Further digs by societynowng.com however revealed that, Mr Wigwe is not taking the looming development lying low.
Sources claimed that he is currently calling in all support he can muster- within and outside- the bank to forestall the move.
More revelation revealed the divided interest between the Managing Director and the Deputy Managing Director have started polarising the management team.
And further investigations revealed, this development has started causing cracks within the cohesion of the organisation’s structure – with those in the know claiming ‘ at present, with his joint influence with Omokaro at play- there is every likelihood Mr Imoukhuede gets away with fostering Angela on the bank leadership when the time comes.

20 Year-old Nigerian Brings Home 65-Year-Old American For Marriage

Triplets Wed Same Day In Lagos (Picture

1,2, 3…Nigeria’s triplets make wedding a triple affair

A set of triplets was on Saturday in Lagos joined in holy matrimony, attended by hundreds of relations and well-wishers.

The triplets – Olumayowa Sunday, Funmilayo Arinola (a woman), Temitope Sunday – were watched by the ecstatic crowd as they cleaved to their wives and husband. The event took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish, Dideolu Estate, Victoria Island.

In a sermon, the officiating pastor, Steve Emejom, urged the couples to love themselves as Jesus Christ loved the Church.

He advised them to be tolerant of their partners, saying that “marriage is full of ups and downs.’’

“Do not involve any third party in your marriage. You should learn to resolve issues amicably, without the intervention of any third party. There is no perfect person, as even you, triplets, won’t have the same attitude to issues. There will be issues at some point and it is necessary to keep outsiders out of your homes,’’ he said.

Quoting from the Holy Bible, Emejom described love as the greatest of all God’s commandments.

“Love conquers all, love is kind, love is patient and the God of Love will guide you as you take this bold step.’’

23-year-old Chelsea Ferguson has amassed over a grand 351,000 followers on twitter by showing off her bosoms on the social networking site...

She had first promised to carry out the act if she could reach 1,000 followers and since then the number has taken flight.

She said: "In the space of two or three months everything just spiralled.

Word spread, everyone wanted to see more so I kept posting photographs and started doing stuff for Nuts magazines and that sort of thing."

I don’t have any idols, but I look at what Jordan has done and how she’s built an empire for herself, I’d like to think I can model my career like that." Viewer discretion is advised

She even made a batch of T-shirts with her face printed on which sold out in a matter of hours. Feeling modest about it, she explained:

The First Traditional African Gay Wedding Ceremony

The gay couple who tied the knot in a traditional Zulu and Tswana wedding while dressed in traditional attire say they will not be fazed by the criticism being aimed at them by social network users and Zulu culture experts.
Thoba Sithole, a Zulu from KwaDukuza, and Tshepo Modisane, a Tswana from Johannesburg, tied the knot on Saturday in KwaDukuza with about 200 people, including family, friends, onlookers and the media in attendance.
Sithole and Modisane, both 27, defended their wedding and said there was nothing evil or untraditional about it.

The Gay Couple Took a Kiss Professor Velaphi Mkhize, a Zulu traditional culture analyst and writer, said Zulu culture did not recognise homosexuality, therefore, traditionally, Modisane and Sithole’s marriage was void.
“In the olden days there were homosexuals, but when a gay child was born the family used to slaughter an animal to plead with the ancestors to intervene and take the evil spirit away from the child.”
“However, now the constitution recognises homosexuality and gay marriages and the biggest challenge we are facing is how do we continue to call something a taboo if it is recognised by the constitution.”

He said the marriage was an insult to Zulu forefathers because marriage was traditionally a way to expand the family. Wives were expected to give birth to children who would carry their families’ names forward. Homosexuality made this impossible, said Mkhize.
However, Sithole, an IT specialist based in Johannesburg, said:
“If being gay is evil, why did God create gay people? Gays are born gay and according to a Bible scripture we were all created by God, so I don’t see anything evil about being born gay because it means that God wanted you to be gay.”
Modisane said they did not need to justify their wedding to the public because it was only between them, and to make them happy.
“We decided to have a traditional wedding because we firstly wanted to show people that being homosexual can be part of an African culture.
